No backing out now

The triathlon is tomorrow. Jen and I leave for Galena this afternoon.

Right now, I feel like this:

The only thing that worries me (aside from the fact that I've never done this before and my training could be described as "lax") is that I have felt really tired the last couple of days. I am usually pretty energetic (bouncing off the walls not included) during the day. But this week has been a real drag and I'm worried that I won't have a lot of energy tomorrow morning.

Wish me luck.

I'm so smug

In keeping with my tradition of finally signing up for things about three years after they go mainstream, I've created an account on SmugMug for my pictures.

Check it out at http://jmsullivan81.smugmug.com . New pictures from Morocco and Portugal are online, although some of the Morocco pics are purloined from Evan and Dave.

I'm still on free trial status with SmugMug... I have about 12 days to decide if I want to pay $34 for an annual account. Hmmmm....

It's cooking time.

In our house, there's a joke that if the words "damn it!" or "oh shit!" come out of the kitchen, that Jen must be cooking something. There is no meal complete without a slight cut, steam burn, bumped head, bruised hip or smashed toe. Last Sunday was no exception.

Receipe:
1 Jen
1 Onion
1 Wüsthof butcher's knife

Combine ingredients in kitchen. Add careless chopping technique. Find shoes, go to emergency room.
Serve on steril bandage. Dress with 5.0 silk, making sure to approximate but not strangulate.

Will keep for one week if stored in cool, dry place.
