Spring for a day
This Saturday was too good to pass up being outside.
While Liz was getting graduated, we were on the lakefill, kicking the cobwebs off of our bikes.

It was a great day to be out, and there were definitely a lot of people out. Do you guys remember this scene?

And speaking of things I hadn't seen in a while, I was able to go paparazzi-style and capture this shot of a certain Mr. A. Moses, hours before the alleged drinking-enduced text messaging fiasco. He's in the green sweatshirt.

That looks suspiciously like a DC setup there.
My question is, where are all the people hitting golf balls into the lake?
I don't think that happens unless it's March, at 2 AM.
Suspiciously enough, that was a DC setup. From talking to a couple of people and seeing the setup, I have come to the conclusion that this year's event sucked.
They had it inside the new Ford building, in the machine shop in the basement. They had domino's pizza instead of grilling. Every team had to hold their robot as they stood next to the "course" waiting their turn. There were no tables for the teams to work on their designs or talk to spectators.
Poor showing.
I talked to Dean Carr afterward and his first comment was, "They saved a lot of money on the aluminum bleachers that they used to rent." Big deal.
Sounds like DC has continued to go downhill ever since the fleeting appearance of Team Cheezy Poofs...
