And yes, I'm aware that I forgot the umlaut. I don't know how to type it.

Go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map

When the character map window pops up, you can select anything in the grid. The u with the umlout (sp?) is in there. Just select it with your mouse, click on "Select" then "Copy". Now you can go into whatever application you are running and just paste the character right where you want it.
