Wickedly Good Fun

So, last night I went to see Wicked at the Ford Oriental Theatre. Very very good times. For those who have read the book, the show is very different and obviously doesn't have the depth of the book. The show is funnier though, with very clever writing. Ana Gasteyer and Kate Reinders were awesome as Elphaba and Glinda (respectively). We got lucky and caught the show before the leads change at the end of January. They were fantastic singers and Kate Reinders plays a perky cheerleader Glinda, just like I imagined her to be from the book. All the music is great, although Glinda sings one particular song that is fantastic song, called Popular. The show comes totally recommended and with the Jen stamp of approval :) And there's your broadway in chicago review.

Seeing as how the fact that you went to see Wicked dramatically drops the probability that I will ever see it before it is offered in a digital format, I really only have one comment; the title should have been "Wicked is wicked awesome!"

Yeah, I suck.
