These guys are unbelievable
I was reading this on TPM today and it was just one more piece of proof that these guys are ridiculous in their hypocrisy. How is it that half the population still thinks that Republicans should be in power??

Because half the population is easily distracted by scary wedge issues like gay marriage, stem-cell research and prayer in school. The Republicans (and to a lesser extent, the Democrats too) use these issues to distract voters from their failings as legislators. Sadly, there's a large segment of the population that's OK with this... "the middle class may be disappearing, our infrastructure is crumbling and our children are saddled with debt beyond belief, but dammit, at least those fags can't get married."
By the way, Jen, nice use of political commentary to breathe some life back into the blog. Perhaps this will catch the attention of our (apparently) comatose members on the west coast.
PS - countdown to joblessness: 2.5 days.
Not comatose... ridiculously busy. Too busy for full sentences. Half will do.
